Maybe this is elementary marine electronics but, can a Garmin Reactor autopilot system be added to any older MFD? Would it be able to read waypoint info from something like a Raymarine C80 via NMEA?

Seems likely, as the Reactor has NMEA 0183 output as well as NMEA 2000. The manuals are online at Garmin.
