Earlier this year Garmin bought DeLorme and acquired their inReach product. It has not had a product refresh for some time. However it works, retailers have pretty well held the line on price for these devices. Now it looks like many retailers have the device on sale, some even say closeout. Is a new version on the way? If so, should I wait, or pickup the best deal now? I know, age old question, but maybe someone knows a little more than I do on this.
Thanks!
The new Garmin inReach models are out now and my burning question is: what have they improved?
I am still waiting for my test units. They have not released the new ones quite yet, as far as I am aware. They show up on their website, but not available yet for sale.
I want a new one after almost dying a few weeks ago (on land) and using mine a ton. It saved my life!

The new one is supposed to have integrated Garmin maps, which would be fantastic.
