What is a good source for comprehensive B&G/Simrad NMEA-2000 wiring options?
I am specifically looking to
1) understand my options to get N2K to a cluster of instruments without having to run multiple spur cables for each. With Maretron I am used to using a Maretron Multiport box.
2) Is there a Simrad equivalent to the Maretron field installable connector?
Dan, I don't know of a "comprehensive source" but I think the story is fairly straightforward. Simrad once used SimNet cabling and connector system (which did not have field attachable connectors) and also used to offer dual SimNet ports on instrument displays so they could be daisy chained. When they first switched to regular Micro C connectors, they still put dual ports on the Triton. But NMEA has never approved daisy chaining so the Triton 2 has a single N2K port, noted here:

So newer Navico gear is all regular N2K and older SimNet cable and connector networks can be extended with adapter cables.
Thank you!
