Any sources for mounting a 1" 14 thread GPS/Bluetooth puck on a vertical surface? I want to place the GPS for the AIS inside an electronics bay and have it look through the fiberglass deck to avoid having it be tripper over up on deck. Similarly the BT-1 puck that supports the Pilot.
I can find short mounts like this or horizontal, but not any that are for vertical.

Current thinking is to have a bracket as for a masthead VHF antenna and use the short mount through it like a nipple, threaded into the base of the puck.

Garmin ships a nice under deck mount with most every standalone marine GPS:

Funny that it's always shown upside down. Can install w screws or included 3M stickies.
Thanks,
That's somewhat of a solution, though unfortunately they don't give dimensions. Here's the closest I have found to a nipple

Which I can insert through a hole in a bracket, and thread the pipe mount to it. That allows me to remove the whole panel with GPS attached. see for example https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10154339201031664&set=a.454010616663.227866.542601663&type=3&theater where there's a bracket on top right side, between the NAIS 400 and the SonicHub.
