Ben and others--
What exactly is meant by the term "glass bridge?"
At what point do the electronics on my boat become a glass bridge?

When you no longer have distinct instruments, but rely on a multifunction display which support virtual ones.
Ahhh, an MFD is the defining item. Thanks, Sheldon!
Georgs,
its not when you have MFD(s), its when you ONLY have MFD(s) and you no longer have the individual readouts, but only the "glass bridge" (from aviation "glass cockpit" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glass_cockpit).
In other words, if your network/display goes down, you have nothing...
