Given their lifecycle so far I'd be really surprised if they replace Gen 3 during 2017.
Gen 1 = 2009
Gen 2 = oct 2012
Gen 3 = dec 2014
Sorry, during 2016 / before 2017 is what I meant to say.
They've announced the Elite 7 and 5 Ti for 2016:

but those are standalone units rather than networked like the HDS Gen3.
