I am getting different feedback on connecting an Airmar B265C-LH to a Simrad NSS12 EVO 2. At the FLL boat show the Simrad staff said I would have no problems, but at the Miami boat show another Simrad rep said I would either need 2 separate displays OR add a Broadband Sounder BSM3 to be able to utilize the full capabilities of the transducer (both chanels). He also suggested that I could alternatively add a second Simrad NSS EVO and split the cable so the Low frequency goes to one unit and the High frequency goes to the second unit. When I asked about this to the Simrad dealer, they were not sure this would work?
Can anyone provide clarification? My preference would be to buy 2 NSS units instead of 1 NSS and having to add a separate BSM3, but I want to be able to get the full benefits of H/L and Chirp if I go with 2 units. Where can I buy the splitter for the transducer cable, if this is possible?

I'd ask Gemeco. They're expert about transducers and can at least point you to a technical dealer who can help.

PS Not sure but I think all the advice you got may be correct, the difference being "full capabilities" i.e. using both channels at once.
