I am in the process of buying a used boat. It is equipped with a Lowrance Global Map 7200C . The unit looks brand new as it has been kept in a padded container indoors and only mounted on the boat when it was being used. It powers up, but gives the dreaded "GPS Signal Not detected" pop-up. My best guess the problem is in the antenna module. $200 from Lowrance. ARE THERE ANY SUBSTITUTE ANTENNAS THAT WOULD WORK ON THIS THIS UNIT?

The LGC-3000 is the 200 dollar unit you're probably thinking about. Thatis an NMEA 2000 GPS antenna. I am not an NMEA 2000 expert but the fittings hould be interoperable and GPS signal is GPS signal.
