Hi Have had a 8000i 15'' screen in for a few months now and was putting Br24 in today but cant get to work .My software version is out of date would this stop it from working?

Carl, It looks like you need 8000i software 5.7.25 or better, all explained here:

http://www.northstarnav.com/Downloads/Software-Updates/

Note that there's also a software update, 2.8.251, for the BR24 but once you have the BR running with the 8000 you should be able to see what version is in it.

Thanks Ben Have uploaded lastest software but still no go. I had a 8000i in my boat and that works fine bought a Br24 and cant seem to get that going. When i had just the 8000i in the ethernet space on the processor it had a loop back. Now as i understand it remove this loopback and plug cable from radar processor and should go. I was told yest that i will have to get a 8 port ethernet box so i can put my loopback and radar into this.Is this true??
