Sorry if this has been covered somewhere. It seems to me that various manufactures implement N2K with their own proprietary connectors making interconnection between vendors hard and expensive.
With a bit of reverse engineering it seems I could cut cables and use whatever type of connectors I want.
Is this correct?
Are T connectors just paralleling all five wires?
Does anyone know the pinouts for standard N2K and Raymarine NG?

Excellent. Thanks for your help. I just cut the connector on my Raymarine DST800 and joined it to my Garmin Wind Sensor and its all working...
Saved me lots of time and money.
