Sirius Marine Weather

I am considering the purchase of a Sirius satellite receiver in order to get weather information.

After substantial web searching I cannot find any "real" information on this product/service

Has anyone used this product and what is the true net worth.

    Sail Magazine, January 2009, is an article on Sirius in a round up of three products, "Avoiding Boomers", that includes the "net worth" of the product category.

    The weather is very nice! There are several good vids on Lowrance.com Depending on which package you go with via sirius will depend on the features you will receive. I just shot a vid and will be getting it on youtube shortly!

    Thank you both for the reply. This is one of those topics were you either do not get enough information or too much hyped information.

    Dan, I really enjoyed that sailmagazine.com article because of the three products that are compared. The best write-up I have seen so far on the subject. The article appears to favor the Raymarine/Sirius combo - for now. A bit of a confidence boost because of Raymarine's "unknown" financial situation and more important, the fact I already own a Raymarine chart/plotter!

    Chris, I would really appreciate a reply when you have that Youtube clip going.
