Maretron TLM100

I'm considering using the Maretron ultrasonic tank monitors for diesel, water and blackwater on a 54' sailboat. Does anyone have experience with this product? Did you use the "focus tube" or "airlock"?

Thanks!

  • I am using them in my 70' sled for my diesel, fresh water, and kerosene tanks. I tried a variety of other NMEA 2000 sensors and finally settled on these after many false starts.

They seemed to work better when used with focus tubes and I am in the process of converting all my tanks.

They do however need to be carefully calibrated - I ended up emptying each tank and putting in one gallon at a time until full while recording the readings. I then used the Maretron graphic display to calibrate the volumetric readings.

Net-net - they work relatively well unlike a number of the other NMEA 2000 tank sensors out there...

  • This is on the top of my list of next products to evaluate and write about here.

Still more to come of the PB200 first, it's proving to be have breadth as well as a depth of capability.

  • Well hurry up Dan! My PB200 is on the mast albeit without the tiny little gold pin needed to power the terminator. my bad. And it's right next to my VHF antenna. I feel a DOH coming....

  • Mistaken - still happy with your Maretron tank sensors?

  • i have a Maretron TLM-100 installed on my holding tank with an airlock. I did the installation with no difficulty and the results are excellent. The dock boys all want to watch when I have a pumpout. You can watch the level drop for every stroke of the pump

  • Good news! Thanks.
