I installed a Garmin 741 GPS a year ago on my 24' center console. I interfaced it with my Horizon VHF and my Raytheon radar but have not yet installed a transducer so I can use the fathometer function. I am seeking advice as to the transducer to use - conventional or CHIRP, transom mount or through hull. The hull is a deep V design with 21 degrees of deadrise at the transom. In addition I have an older Furuno 667 Fishfinder with a through hull transducer and a Humminbird fathometer/GPS with a transom mount transducer. I want the best performance I can get from the Garmin unit without interference from the other two units or creating interference to them. I am not sure if using two or even all 3 units at the same time will create issues because of transmissions from more than one transducer.
Advice as to a good brand and model of transducer would be appreciated.
