Recently bought two NEC MultiSync LCD 2090UXi monitors that I thought would work well in my pilot house helm refit. These are too large for my application but wanted to post them here.
Noticed that Fleming uses these monitors so thinking they would not be too large I bought the two. At $800 each they are not your typical PC monitor. Designed for high end graphics users, they are fantastic monitors. You can darn near lay them flat and read them like they are standing in front of you. They have two toggle buttons on the bottom left that brings up a menu for dimming or making numerous changes. The standard blue power light on the front is a bit bright, but if you turn off the monitor, hold one of the toggles while turning the monitor back on you get an expanded menu that allows you to change the light to green or turn it off completely.
They do not dim completely to black, but I did not find that an issue as my Nobeltec software over-rides them with the duck and night time mode.
