Simrad: excellent warranty experience

Just to share an example of good service:

My 1 year old Simrad 4G broadband radar filled with water. How? I have no idea. It didn't work and, when I took it down, you could hear and feel the water sloshing around inside.

I made one call on Monday morning. The only questions they asked were
a) What's wrong?
b) What is the serial number?
c) What address would you like the replacement sent to?

I put the unit in a box and sent it off to them. They sent me a replacement the same day they received the broken unit and I was back up and running by Saturday.

Sure, I wish that it had not filled with water. But, since these things happen, I have to give credit for the very responsive and helpful way in which Navico handled it.
