Raymarine Autopilot (raytalk) with Garmin Instruments (N2K)

Vote 0 Votes

Hello,

I am commissioning a new yacht and just trying to work out the electronics. I have come ot the conclusion that I would like to use:

1. Raymarine SPX30 Autopilot - (as these seems to be the best for a sail boat)

2. Garmine (and/or) NMEA2000 instruments - is it is a nice standard for future proof and I like the garmine graphic displays more.

My questions are:
1. Can the Raymarine Seatalk NG network talk to the N2K network to at very least get wind information to the autopilot?

2. Is it necessary to get an Raymarine ST70 unit to control the Autopilot or can this all be done from the wireless smartcontroller?

3. Will the Raymarine wireless smartcontroller be able to extract data from the NMEA2000 network for all the transducer data (eg wind, depth, speed etc)?

Thanks in advance for any comments and direction.
