Panbo changes 2, Bonnier Marine Group
Is Super Bowl Sunday an appropriate day to announce that I've switched magazine teams? Well, I do have used game (boat show) uniforms headed to charity, a lot of new teammates to meet, and just might get booed in some parts of New York or Boston! I joke, but as of today I am Senior Electronics Editor for the Bonnier Marine Group, now a major Panbo sponsor. I'll be writing for Yachting and Cruising World, and also helping in some fashion with the electronics coverage in Bonnier's several other boating and fishing magazines (see improved Resource section to right). I'm excited, but a wee wistful...
When I resigned from Power & Motoryacht and Sail in early December, it was with regrets. I needed some personal time—and knew “other opportunities” were out there—but I truly appreciate the support both publications gave me over the years, and will miss working with some fine editors and designers. My final piece for Sail was the electronics selections for the Pittman Innovation Awards just out in the February issue, and my final column for PMY is on Navico's Broadband Radar, coming out in the March issue. I’m hoping it will be online when I report here on how the new radar actually performs on the water. In other words, I’m hoping for a smooth transition. And I promise I’m done talking about work and life changes for while ;-)
Congratulations!
